Tablemakers is a professional community for leaders, managers, founders, hospitality professionals, operations professionals, and experience builders creating stronger teams, cultures, businesses, and environments.

The Meaning Behind the Name
A Tablemaker understands that meaningful experiences do not happen by accident.
Someone prepares the environment. Someone establishes the standard. Someone develops the people. Someone anticipates what will be needed. Someone creates room for others to contribute, grow, belong, and succeed.
That person is a Tablemaker.
Tablemakers do not wait for the room to become what it needs to be. They help build it.
Who Tablemakers Are
A Tablemaker understands that the quality of the experience begins before anyone enters the room.
A Tablemaker notices what others need, what the environment is communicating, and where the standard may be slipping.
A Tablemaker takes ownership of the role, the details, the people, and the outcome.
A Tablemaker creates room for people to feel seen, respected, supported, and able to contribute.
A Tablemaker understands that excellence is built through repeated behavior, not occasional performance.
A Tablemaker is willing to address what is unclear, misaligned, uncomfortable, or below the standard.
A Tablemaker does not only perform well. A Tablemaker helps others become stronger.
A Tablemaker recognizes that leadership, hospitality, and service are responsibilities—not performances.
Why We Created the Platform
Leaders, managers, founders, hospitality professionals, and experience builders are often responsible for creating environments where everyone else can succeed.
They carry teams, standards, culture, operations, service, communication, expectations, and the emotional weight of leadership—often without enough space to reflect, learn, exchange ideas, or be supported by people who understand the work.
Tablemakers was created to provide that space.
The people preparing the table should not have to carry the responsibility alone.
The Tablemakers Community
People building the structure, culture, team, standards, and experience behind a growing organization.
Professionals guiding direction, people, performance, priorities, and organizational culture.
Leaders carrying the daily responsibility for communication, accountability, operations, development, and service.
Professionals creating guest, customer, employee, venue, restaurant, hotel, tourism, or event experiences.
People building the systems, workflows, standards, and routines allowing an organization to function well.
Professionals shaping employee experience, workplace expectations, communication, trust, and belonging.
People preparing others to understand, practice, and carry the standard.
Professionals preparing for greater responsibility and seeking stronger leadership language, confidence, and community.
Producers, event professionals, community leaders, creatives, and strategists responsible for bringing people into meaningful environments.
Community in Practice
The Tablemakers Collective is the community expression of the Tablemakers platform.
It is designed to bring together professionals responsible for leadership, hospitality, operations, culture, service, and experience through thoughtful conversations, shared learning, professional connection, and future community experiences.
Tablemakers is being built in the open. The ideas, standards, and language are established; the Collective, the Compass, and the gatherings are still being prepared. Nothing on this page is a live community you can join today.
In the meantime, the way in is a conversation.
Connect With TablemakersThought Leadership
In development
The Tablemakers Compass is the thought-leadership and editorial voice of the Tablemakers platform.
It explores the realities of hospitality, leadership, service, culture, operations, workforce development, events, professional standards, and the future of meaningful experiences.
These are the questions the Compass is being written around. They are subjects, not published pieces — nothing has been released yet.
What We Talk About
The Standard Behind the Community
The LOAVES framework provides the shared language connecting Tablemakers across industries, titles, and experience levels.
Influence the environment through preparation, communication, decisions, behavior, and care.
Take responsibility for the standard, the details, the team, and the outcome.
Connect people, priorities, systems, and expectations around the shared experience.
Understand what is being built and help others see their role within it.
Protect quality through discipline, consistency, professionalism, and attention.
Create room for others to feel welcomed, respected, supported, and able to succeed.
Tablemakers do not carry these values only when someone is watching. They use them to shape how the room operates.
Learning to Community
The 5LA Academy and Tablemakers serve connected but different purposes.
The Academy provides structured learning in hospitality, leadership, management, workforce development, culture, and the LOAVES framework.
Tablemakers extends that development through thought leadership, professional conversation, community, resources, gatherings, and continued reflection.
Taking part in Tablemakers does not enroll anyone in the Academy or award any credential. They are separate, and joining one is not joining the other.
